With stunning scenery, amazing nooks to explore, and the opportunity to have a pillow fight, Firelight Camps in Ithaca, NY is the dreamiest place for your engagement or anniversary photos. Make a getaway out of it by staying in one of their tents, enjoying the amenities, and visiting downtown Ithaca, a 5-minute drive.
This bright and bold stylized wedding came to life thanks to the amazing florals provided by Tarry Grove
The floral ring was an incredible piece that accented the bouquet and crown perfectly.
When planning your wedding, choose a few categories to truly invest in, find a vendor you trust, and ask them to work their magic. Often our ideas are small compared to what the artist is able to accomplish for us.
Do you see a matching floral crown and ring in your future?
When planning a wedding, even a 2 hour break between the ceremony and reception feels long. Sarah and Bryan, they waited 364 days.
Another 2020 couple struck with deciding what to do and when, they opted for a small 40 person backyard wedding on their original wedding date (and it was stunning! many thanks to Crafted Around You) and around spring these year, take 2 started to take shape.
By waiting a year for the reception, Bryan & Sarah were able to secure one of Rochester’s newest (and incredible) wedding venues, The HIghline.
We spent the morning watching old school Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen movies, drinking mimosas, playing mario kart, and preparing for the party that was 2 years in the making.
Everything about their reception was incredible, from the personlized decor done by the Highline, to the delicious meal from Chef’s Catering, and of course, DJ Saul’s mix that kept us dancing until the lights turned on.
Ever since I first walked Canandaigua City Pier and the boathouses, I knew I wanted to shoot there. Ally & Mike were the perfect couple for this night. While this was only their three year dating anniversary, they’ve been over 10 years in the making and already practiced getting married (I met them as our models at a Styled Shoot earlier this year).
I’m so thankful to have nights like these where I am enveloped into another couple’s love story, learn about what they love about each other, and create memories for them to look back on as they continue down their forever together.
That is the only word I can use to describe Kim winning a Valentine’s Day shoot with her husband in the SAME location as their wedding years ago. Kim & Mike were an absolute pleasure to work with. We laughed, we dipped, and we smiled a lot. Find the kind of love that these two have– still looking like newly weds a few years and 2 kiddos later.
Watching a relationship unfold is always a joy. Over the past 4 years I have had the immense blessing to watch Ann Marie and Chris fall deeper in love and choose one another. On a beautiful August Friday night, they shared their vows in front of family and friends at the Durand Eastman Clubhouse in Irondequoit, NY. We finished our photos just as the thunderstorm rolled in and enjoyed an evening of celebrating the beginning of their forever.
I’ve known Jimmy since I made the move to Rochester, New York, and met Melinda not too far behind. From the beginning they knew, as well as anybody that met them, that this was it, they had found the one. And while they may have gotten tired of the “are you engaged yet?” chatter, this moment, I know, made it all worth the wait.
A mistaken date for a fall festival, an in with the mountain manager, and a hike he was really excited for turned into a day Melinda soon won’t forget.
Jimmy and Melinda, thank you for letting me be a part of this day. It was a true blessing to watch you say “YES” (of course after saying “Are you serious?” a few times). Congratulations and all the best as you embark on this next adventure in your lives.
