When planning a wedding, even a 2 hour break between the ceremony and reception feels long. Sarah and Bryan, they waited 364 days.
Another 2020 couple struck with deciding what to do and when, they opted for a small 40 person backyard wedding on their original wedding date (and it was stunning! many thanks to Crafted Around You) and around spring these year, take 2 started to take shape.
By waiting a year for the reception, Bryan & Sarah were able to secure one of Rochester’s newest (and incredible) wedding venues, The HIghline.
We spent the morning watching old school Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen movies, drinking mimosas, playing mario kart, and preparing for the party that was 2 years in the making.
Everything about their reception was incredible, from the personlized decor done by the Highline, to the delicious meal from Chef’s Catering, and of course, DJ Saul’s mix that kept us dancing until the lights turned on.
Watching a relationship unfold is always a joy. Over the past 4 years I have had the immense blessing to watch Ann Marie and Chris fall deeper in love and choose one another. On a beautiful August Friday night, they shared their vows in front of family and friends at the Durand Eastman Clubhouse in Irondequoit, NY. We finished our photos just as the thunderstorm rolled in and enjoyed an evening of celebrating the beginning of their forever.
It’s rare that my new year’s plans are made two months in advanced, but when Tim messaged a group of Emily’s best girl friends asking us if we’d be around for new year’s for a surprise party for Emily, we quickly deduced that this was an engagement party. We nearly died when Emily announced three days beforehand that she believed she would be getting engaged on new year’s eve. Somehow we convinced her it wasn’t so…the day arrived and she was SURPRISED. She came home giddy to make a bunch of phone calls but we were already present. I loved photographing the night because Emily (and Tim) were BEAMING. It was such an awesome thing to be a part of. Click on the photos to view the larger versions.
Kerri was one of the first people I met when I came to Nyack College. Not long after I met Jordan through my department events. Who would have ever imagined 2 years later they would be engaged and three years later married! I was so blessed to be a part of their day and loved every minute of it. Congratulations Jordan and Kerri! May God bless your marriage and thank you again for letting me be a part of it.
Yesterday, was my sister-in-law’s one year wedding anniversary. I decided to go back to the wedding photos I took for them last year and run them through lightroom since I didn’t have it last year. It was a really fun wedding and I had a great time getting to know them both more. Happy Anniversary Becky and Ben!
