Sam & April’s Letchworth State Park Winter Solstice Elopement

Your wedding day is meant to look exactly how YOU want it. Sam and April were the perfect example of this. After having an intimate church ceremony (that they used zoom to allow family not in the area to “be there too”), they met me near the Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth State Park. From there we explored the Upper and Middle Falls area, taking our time and capturing their love.

They were married on the winter solstice. The low December light perfectly illuminated these two during the whole shoot. It turns out I’m a sucker for a solstice elopement and can’t wait to capture my next one.

And the sunset SHOWED UP for us when we moved into the woods.

After their time with me, they went off to have a small, intimate dinner and continued to celebrate on their own. Being invited into an elopement is one of my favorite things. Whether you want to have someone there the whole day or you are just looking for me to step into a part of the celebration, I am so there.

Want to elope but you aren’t sure exactly how to do it? Let’s chat. I’m not the kind of photographer who just shows up on your wedding day, I’ll be there for you the whole way.
